In our classroom we had a take home folder that went home everyday. This was a "BEE Book" (Bring Everything Everyday). I used a 1 inch 2 pocket folder with 3 prongs. I like the ones with the plastic sleeve on the front of the folder, so that you can slip the BEE cover page into it and it will stay nice and neat! It was the responsibility of each student to get these home with important notes to parents and to bring them back to school each day. On Thursdays, we had a plastic envelope that went home for "school" important notes and brought back on Fridays. Every class did these.
