You will need:
6 inch wrapped Candy Cane
Ribbon
2 wiggle eyes
Red or Brown pom pom
2 pipe cleaners
Craft glue or glue gun
Leave the wrapping on the candy cane.
Glue eyes on rounded face of the candy cane.
Glue red pompom on the face for a nose.
Tie ribbon into a bow on the straight part of the candy cane.
Cut one of the pipe cleaners in half.
Wrap the full pipe cleaner around the crook
of the candy cane to begin the antlers.
Use the cut pipe cleaners to manipulate into antlers.
These are fun for kids to make.
Some students may need help with the antlers.
Santa Sack
You will need:
Brown small lunch bags
Material for Santa's Hat or red construction paper
Tan material or construction paper for rim of hat
Tiny red pom pom or red bead for Santa's nose
Cream colored material for Santa's beard
Small bell and twine for Santa's hat
I have always done this as a whole class with
extra help. You could easily do as a center with help.
1. Have students put their name on the bottom flap
of the bag and turn the bag over.
2. Glue the red material to the top of the bag.
3. Glue the tan material a little over the bottom of the
red material and stretch down to form the rim of the hat.
4. Glue Santa's beard on the bag and curve it
to come up and meet the bottom of Sant's hat.
4. Put eyes on with black magic marker.
5. Glue nose on.
6. Fold down the corner of Santa's hat and
glue on the bell and twine bow.
**I usually have all material pieces
and bows made ahead of time.
The kids loved making these special sacks for
their cinnamon ornament presents for their parents.
They sit up nicely, too!
S'More Ornaments
Students made these at the winter party last year
with help from room mothers.
These were from "Oriental Trading".

with the following directions:
Add a candy cane to the bag to stir the hot chocolate.

Click on the tag above for two tags to choose from for your bag.
Gift Stocking
You will need:
*grocery bag
*scissors
*hole punch
*yarn
*construction paper
*markers
*glue
1. Cut two stocking shapes of equal
size from a bag.
2. Hold them together and punch holes
around the edges.
3. Lace them together with yarn and make a loop
at the end. It is easier to lace if you put scotch tape
around the end of the yarn or use a blunt needle.
4. From construction paper cut out a cuff and snowman.
Decorate with markers and glue them on.
I have also used red and green construction
paper for the stocking instead of a paper bag
and cotton balls for the cuff.
