Very "Sweet" Christmas Recipes

Candy Cane Sled
You will need:
~ two candy canes
~ one regular size Hershey bar or other candy bar
~ wrapping paper
~ curling ribbon

Wrap the candy bar with Christmas wrapping paper.
Tape the two candy canes to either side on the bottom,
making the runners for the sleigh. From the underneath
of the candy bar (front of the sleigh) bring the ribbon up and
back down making the "rope to pull" the sleigh.
This sled would be great to put on top of that "Special" Christmas gift!

Caramel Layered Chocolate Squares
1 (6 oz.) can evaporated milk, divided
3/4 c. melted butter
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 (14 oz.) pkg. Kraft caramels

Mix half the evaporated milk (1/3 cup), all the butter and the cake mix.
Press 1/2 dough into greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for 6 minutes. Unwrap and melt caramels with remaining
1/3 cup of evaporated milk and stir until melted. I do this in the microwave.
Pour caramel mixture over the batter in cake pan.
Sprinkle chocolate chips over the caramel layer.
Dot or crumble remainder of dough over mixture.
Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes.
Cool 2 to 5 hours before cutting or put in refrigerator
to set the caramel layer before cutting into bars.
Makes 36 bars.
