A Halloween Pumpkin

Pumpkin Head

The students illustrated this book after reading the two books above.
This book is cut into fourths, so you will have 8 pages when done.
Do this ahead of time for each student and let them sequence the pages.
Staple together for a mini-book.
Here is another book to cut apart and put in order from Kiz Club.
This one already has the pictures on each page to color.

Tasty Toasted Pumpkin Seeds
Wash your pumpkin seeds.
Lay them out on a cookie sheet to dry overnight.
Mix seeds with butter and salt ~ 1 T butter & 1 tsp salt for each cup of seeds.
Bake in a 325 degree oven for 30-45 minutes
or until slightly browned and crisp. Stir occasionally.
**I tried baking them at a higher temperature per another recipe
on the net for less time and they just tasted burnt!
Cool and store in an airtight container for up to 3 months or in refrigerator for longer.
Most of my students really loved these!

We raised lots and lots of pumpkins this year, so thought I would try some toasted seeds again!

Individual No Bake Pumpkin Pies
1 foil baking cup liner (cup cake liner)
1 vanilla wafer (for the crust)
Put the vanilla wafer in the bottom of the foil cup cake liner.
Mix in a small paper cup (kitchen size): 1/4 C. of prepared
vanilla pudding, 1/4 t. pumpkin pie spice, and 1 T. canned
pumpkin. Stir and spoon into crust. Top with a spoon of cool
whip and a candy pumpkin. Enjoy!
