Magic Wands
You will need:
Green construction paper
Straw
Ribbon
Glitter Glue
Or glitter and glue
1. Cut three hearts from the
green construction paper.
I had the students trace around
a poster board pattern.
2. Glue points together in the
center to form a shamrock.
3. Tape or staple a straw to the back of the hearts.
4. Add sparkly ribbon and green
ribbon around the straw and curl the
ends up. We added gold and green beads
at the ends of the ribbon.
5. Decorate each petal with glitter
or glitter glue.
Glue this poem on the back:
Shamrocks, shamrocks,
On Ireland's hills,
Greenest of green
Over rocks and rills
Good luck do they bring,
For one and all
On St. Patrick's Day
We can see them all.

In Like a Lion...
You will need:
Two paper plates
White cotton balls
Brown or tan yarn
Glue
Large craft stick
Patterns for eyes & ears click here
1. Decorate the lamb paper
plate with cotton balls.
Add construction paper ears,
eyes,mouth, and a ribbon.
2. For the lion, magic marker or paint one
of the plates yellow. Add brown or tan
yarn around the edges for the lion’s mane.
Add construction paper ears, eyes, and mouth.
3. We made these as puppets and
used small paper plates. We glued
the paper plates together with
the craft stick in between the plates~
the lion on one side and the lamb on the other.
